In a previous post about the live-action X-Men movies, I highlighted a Blu-ray boxset from 2021 which contained ten of the X-Men films. I noted at the time the collection was incomplete as it was missing a few notable entries.
One of these notable entries was 2017’s Logan, while two others included the Deadpool movies. When the X-Men boxset was released in 2021, there were only two live-action Deadpool movies, yet neither were in the set.
However, this didn’t cause me any major issues as another collection was on the market containing the Deadpool films. The appropriately titled ‘The Complete Collection (For Now)‘ included Deadpool, Deadpool 2, and Deadpool 2: Super Duper Cut, and is the subject of this post.

As you can see from the images above, the Deadpool: The Complete Collection (For Now) boxset includes two Blu-ray cases, all housed in an outer slip. The outer slip is made from foil card and includes a front cover image of Deadpool hugging a stuffed unicorn toy.
Inside the outer case, the two Blu-ray cases are divided as follows:
- (i) Deadpool (1 disc)
- (ii) Deadpool 2: Super Duper Cut (2 discs)

(i) Deadpool
Here’s what the synopsis (on the back of the case) says about Deadpool:
‘Hold onto your chimichangas, folks. From the studio that brought you all 3 Taken films comes DEADPOOL, the block-busting, fourth-wall-breaking masterpiece about Marvel Comics’ sexiest anti-hero: ME! Go deep inside (I LOVE THAT) my origin story… typical stuff… rogue experiment, accelerated healing powers, horrible disfigurement, RED SPANDEX, imminent revenge. Directed by overpaid tool Tim Miller, and starring God’s perfect idiot Ryan Reynolds, Ed Skrein, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller and Gina Carano, DEADPOOL is a giddy slice of awesomeness packed with more twists than my enemies’ intestines and more action than prom night. AMAZEBALLS!’
And here is what the Deadpool Blu-ray includes:
- A HD copy of Deadpool
- Deleted/extended scenes with optional commentary by director Tim Miller
- Gag reel
- From Comics to Screen… to Screen
- Audio commentary by Ryan Reynolds and screenwriters Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick
- Audio commentary by director Tim Miller and Deadpool co-creator/comics artist Rob Liefeld
- Gallery – concept art, costumes, storyboards, pre-vis, stunts-vis-shipyard
- Deadpool’s Fun Sack

(ii) Deadpool 2: Super Duper Cut
Here’s what the text says about Deadpool 2: Super Duper Cut:
‘The Super Duper $@%!#& Cut, now with 15 minutes of brand-new action and jokes lovingly inserted throughout. Experience your second time like it’s the first time.’
And here is what the Deadpool 2: Super Duper Cut Blu-ray includes:
- A HD copy of Deadpool 2 (Theatrical cut) – Disc 1
- A HD copy of Deadpool 2 (‘Super Duper‘ extended cut) – Disc 2
- Gag reel
- Deleted/extended scenes
- Until Your Face Hurts: Alt Takes
- The Most Important X-Force Member
- Deadpool Family Values: Cast of Characters
- David Leitch Not Lynch: Directing DP2
- Audio commentary by Ryan Reynolds, David Leitch, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (theatrical version only)
- Deadpool’s Fun Sack 2
- And so much more!

I picked up this Deadpool Blu-ray collection as a.) there were only two Deadpool movies in existence at the time of purchase, and b.) none of the X-Men Blu-ray boxsets included the Deadpool films. In order to have the Deadpool films on my shelf I needed to buy them separately from the X-Men movies, so this twin-set was the best option on the market.
It was priced at £11.99, and as the collection technically contains 3 films (Deadpool + two cuts of Deadpool 2) it worked out at £4 a movie. Chuck in all of the bonus material contained on the discs and this seemed like good value to me.
